Weekend Mass Change

After consultation with the Bishop and the clergy in our parish partnership, and with parishioners, the Saturday evening Mass will be moving

from 6pm to 5.30pm from 28th September. We are hopeful that this will be a more convenient time for parents with young families and the older members of our parish.

There was a lot of support for this change. It will also mean that, in the event of an emergency, one priest will be able to celebrate the evening Mass here and at the Cathedral. This is in keeping with the diocesan policy that Mass times be varied within the partnership. It should also be noted that finding supply priests is becoming increasingly difficult so this should alleviate that challenge.
